Suspend your Critic

Make the decision, the perceptual shift, to stop criticizing.  You will reclaim lost energy and free yourself from countless hassles.

You are aware that each person has different perspectives that they have adopted as a result of their reactive inventory.  Individuals can only hold positions, behaviors and beliefs according to their reactive inventory.  What is right for them may be right or wrong for you and me. That does not necessarily make one of us more right or more wrong.

Right and wrong are just perspectives based on reactive inventories.  Rightness is “inventory dependent”.

You suspend the reactivity of your inventory when you suspend the criticism that results from your inner Judge taking control.  When you suspend your inner critic you become the master of the Judge rather than its slave.

Make the decision to stop criticism and self criticism.

Looking in the Mirror

Looking in the mirror of my life today I did not like what I saw.  I saw someone who was critical of others above himself.  I saw someone who has been extremely critical of others for a very long time.   I saw someone who was petty, judging, convicting and condemning..

In the mirror of my life today, I caught a glimpse of a person I had been judging I and saw that they were not what I had been making them out to be.

I caught myself acting out, judging without consideration.  Certainly not the behavior of one who is “advanced”.  Certainly not the behavior of one who sees the face of creation in everything.  Certainly not the behavior of one who holds onto humbleness, love and appreciation of beauty in all life.  Certainly not the behavior of impeccable gratitude.  Definitely not the behavior of one who maintains a graceful perceptual shift beyond pettiness.

Today the mirror of my life taught me a very valuable lesson.  The lesson I learned is to replace my  judgement of others with Knowing Humbleness.  The knowing is the knowing that others can only operate according to their reactive inventory.  The humbleness comes from knowing that each one is the vessel of God.

The answer, the shift, is humbleness in the “Face of Creation”

The 8 Winds, Master the Ego

Let go of the need to defend.  “The eight winds can not move me, yet one fart blows me across the river.: pg 140

In “The Tao of Daily Life”  by Derek Lin The Eight winds are described as the forces that motivate people. The eight winds are — praise, ridicule, honor, disgrace, gain, loss, pleasure, and misery.

In this parable the disciple tells the Master he has conquered the 8 winds.  With a simple word the master enraged the student, proving to him he had not conquered the 8 winds of the ego.

The meaning of the parable is that in Tao one can not conquer the ego.  However one can become the master of the egoinstead of vice versa.  In the Tao of Daily Life it says “  To master the ego and not be its servants means to let go of the need to defend. Relinquish the desire to convince or persuade others..  We can hold on to our views without having to make any points, prove anything, or justify any positions.  When we free ourselves of this falseh0od we gain clarity.  We begin to see that being defensive is a tremendous waste of energy.”

Life is Short

Life is short, so don’t waste yours not loving life.

The Magic Mantra

The Magic Mantra is to repeat  - - ”I Love ……..”

The Magic Mantra will open your heart and slow your mind.

Let your heart and your enviornment fill in the blank.

Just repeat this magic mantra when you feel the need to shift out of a negative pattern.

Savor Now

Savor the present.  Link savoring to your hearts core.  Be neutral without judgement and desire. In this way shift to another way of being.

One who understands splendor while holding to humility acts in accord with eternal power.  From 28th verse Tao Te Ching.

Most Important Lesson

The most important lesson in life is to learn to always be a loving person.

If you don’t learn this lesson then eventually all of the other lessons will not matter.

If you learn this lesson well it is the only lesson you truly need to live to have a good life.

This post is most importantly to my girls.

Live your center

Once you have found your center, live your life from that.

Your center is without judgement, detached from ego, free from desire, yet savors the experience and challenges of life fully aware and alert.  Your center is your core self.

When you live from your center you have shifted to a higher form of being.

I will no longer judge and I will no longer desire, I will savor my life as it unfolds before me.   (from 9/11 post.)

Being Unconditional

The decision to be unconditional is the decision to no longer judge, to no longer desire.

Unconditional love is love without judgement, to love without desire.

Unconditional acceptance is acceptance without judgement or desire.

Honor your Guru

Honor your teacher.  Honor your life.  Honor your Guru with alert gratitude each day.

Life is your Guru.

Desireless

Desires are the mirror image of judgements.

To participate in creation as it unfolds be neutral in judgement and desire.

To experience living in the flow of Tao hold yourself desireless.

As you were trained you made the decision to judge and to desire.  Now you can make the decision not to judge and not to desire.  Simply tell yourself, I will no longer judge and I will no longer desire.  Instead, I will savor my life as it unfolds before me.

Participate in life and spirit without being hooked unconcious by life. Nothing of value is lost and potentially everything of value is gained. Make your shift to desireless perception.

Ever desireless, one can see the mystery; ever desiring, one only sees the manifestations.  And the mystery itself is the doorway to all understanding.  Living the Wisdom of the Tao, Wayne Dyer

Dismiss your ego

Make a simple decision to dismiss your ego and all of its judgements.

You are the director, producer and main actor in the production of  This is Your Ego.  This production of judgements you have stored as a fantasy series in your head would put Agatha Christie and Judge Judy to shame.  Your ego judgments produce your own personal fantasy series.  It is your production, your series and you are the projector.

You are the producer, you have the power to edit out all of the judgements or you can turn off the projector and observe real life.  You don’t give up your life.  You give up your fantasies.  You will find reality is much more exiting than fantasy can ever be.

You can make this major perceptual shift.  Go from producing and following your own fantasy to following reality.   Do this by simply making the decision to dismiss your ego with all of its jujdgements.

Sea of Frowns

Start by spending time with your inner frowns.  Some of us have surrounded ourselves with many frowns.  If you are having trouble with the inner smile meditation it may be that you are awash in a sea of your own  inner frowns.  Contemplate the frowns you feel surrounding your inner core.  Forgive the situations that created your frowns.  You should come to the understanding that you are the one responsible for your frowns, not someone else.  As you forgive the situations that hold up your inner frowns, you reclaim the energy they trapped.

A more perceptive shift is to realize that you are the one holding all of the frowns together as part of the construction of your inner judge.  Just make a decision to dismiss the inner judge and his judgements.  Dismiss the ego as the hallucination you created.  Without the judge and the ego the frowns (as judgements) simply fade away.  Without the ego there is nothing to judge so there is no inner or outer frowns and there is nothing to forgive.

As the frowns dissolve you will be able to manifest inner and outer smiles.  Recall the things that make you smile.  Then begin the inner smile meditation.
